The mediterranean village of Kővágóörs is famous for its red sandstone fences and from here you can easily reach the beaches of Balaton, or with a short biking or hiking you can visit the gems and sights of the Kali Basin: Sea of Stones in Salföld and Szentbékkálla, the basalt cone of Hegyestű, Kornyi Lake, the ponds of Fekete Mountain and the residual “Witness” Mountains (Tanúhegyek).
